Author: Carlos Alberto Alonso

Carlos Alberto Alonso is a writer, musician, and designer whose work explores memory, inheritance, consciousness, and the forms through which meaning survives. Born in Uruguay to a Spanish family and raised in Canada, he has spent much of his creative life moving between countries, disciplines, and technologies. Before turning to long-form fiction, Alonso worked across music, digital design, essays, and systems-based creative practice. These fields continue to shape his fiction, where sound, landscape, memory, and human behaviour often converge. His debut novel, That Which Remembers Us, is a literary speculative work set between northern Spain, England, and deep prehistory. It reflects his longstanding interest in how the past remains active within us as atmosphere, pattern, and inheritance. He lives between Canada and Spain.
